About DiegoDiego Carneiro recipient of the Vicente Rocafuerte Peace Prize, conferred by Ecuadorian National Assembly is a thought leader channelising music as a powerful tool to transform social cultural context from one of conflict and chaos to peace , growth , harmony. As a visionary social entrepreneur , a Celebrity Master cellist, Orchestra conductor, and Rotary Peace Fellow , he has integrated his skills and expertise to roll out several creative projects that are aimed at building global bridges between music and humanitarian action, spreading messages of peace, environmental & cultural preservation , prosperity through mental well being across the globe. After having played in over 45+ countries , he envisions to cover another 25 countries in the coming years , which helps him to nurture the music he plays and connect, integrate cultures.
He has toured and performed in over 45+ countries making his music a truly global catalyst for connections between cultures around the world. Born in the Brazilian Amazon, Diego has been connected with his mission while he was just 12 yrs, he was spotted as a prodigy creating impact through music , later he founded a globally renowned Orchestra and a music school in the Amazon, driven by a belief that music can be a powerful force for transformation.
Diego chose to leverage his expertise in music & peace building to build unique social entrepreneurial ventures that have today become a niche platform for young people from vulnerable backgrounds & under-resourced communities across Latin America, Europe, and Africa like refugees, conflict zones, disaster affected areas, Autism spectrum etc to transform their scars and trauma affected identities from painful past into confidence & synergy through music education and performance opportunities , increasing their economic viability, bringing dignity and pride to their lives , helping them integrate back into social mainstream He is the founder of pioneering Organization like Orchestrating Peace,  Amazonart and Friends of Music in Latin America.His recent cello performances have not only graced major global stages but have also become beacons of support for social causes, directly uplifting vulnerable communities, including young refugees.
As an ambassador for peace - graduated from the Rotary Peace Center and Makerere University, Diego leverages his talent and platform to inspire unity and hope, with the profound conviction that music can heal and uplift those in need.  Diego’s commitment to empowering others through music is not only rooted in performance but also in fostering resilience and unity within vulnerable communities worldwide.
